Secom\u00ae is a Romanian business, established by Andrei and Lucia Costea, which succeeded to evolve from a natural product stores into a robust company, with a turnover of EUR 22 million, a team of 180 people, a portfolio of 470 products, a national network of 14 own stores and one Center for Functional and Integrative Medicine. Secom\u00ae ranks 3<sup>rd<\/sup> among the top players on the food supplements market.<\/p>\n<p>Secom\u00ae has been a trendsetter in the field, introducing science-based phytotherapy in Romania in 2004, by marketing the first food supplements developed based on studies, certified and patented worldwide, and manufactured by some of the most renowned international manufacturers. For the past 15 years, Secom\u00ae has been providing Romanians with many ingredients which are now considered innovative: medicinal mushrooms, colostrum, glutathione, 5-HTP, resveratrol, GABA, L-citrulline, as well as the first range of supplements specially created by pediatricians to help improve children\u2019s health &#8211; ChildLife\u00ae Essentials.<\/p>\n<p>The story of Secom\u00ae began with only 10 food supplements, while the current portfolio includes 470 products in 3 categories: 300 food supplements suitable for all types of illnesses, 130 natural beauty products based on innovative formulas and 40 varieties of premium tea.\u00a0 During its first 15 years of operation, Secom\u00ae has sold 11 million bottles of food supplements. The main investments focus on portfolio expansion, development of the Secom\u00ae Functional and Integrative Medicine Center services, development of the retail network, marketing activities, building and strengthening of the team. Another priority of Secom\u00ae is education, as the company invested in a series of educational initiatives and events designed to help people make documented and responsible decisions related to their health.
