The educational summit organized by Secom® Healthcare brought together physicians, specialists in nutrition, sleep medicine, toxicology, movement, psychology, and responsible supplementation in an interactive format dedicated to modern health.
Secom® Healthcare Group hosted the second edition of the Wellbeing 360° summit — Transforming Prevention into a Lifestyle — on May 9, 2026 in Cluj, an event dedicated to those who wish to better understand their own health needs and adopt healthy, mindful, and sustainable routines. Held at the Radisson Blu Hotel Cluj, the event brought together over 240 participants and was designed as a space for reflection, connection, and applied learning. More than an educational conference, Wellbeing 360° offered a hands-on experience built around the main pillars of health: balanced nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, healthy relationships, avoidance of toxins, and regular medical check-ups.
"At Secom, we believe that prevention must go beyond good intentions and become a daily routine, built through small, consistent choices. Romania needs more health education, and Wellbeing 360° is our way of bringing together credible experts, validated content, and practical solutions — so that people leave not only inspired, but equipped with concrete steps they can immediately integrate into their lives. For us, prevention is an investment in long-term quality of life, and food supplements, when used responsibly and in a personalized way, can support a balanced lifestyle," said Alina Tătaru, Corporate Communications & Sustainability Manager, Secom Healthcare Group. The event takes place against the backdrop of data presented during the summit showing that Romania ranks 3rd in the European Union for deaths caused by preventable diseases¹. At the same time, the national study "Prevention as a Lifestyle in Romania 2026," conducted at Secom's initiative in partnership with ISRA Center, reveals that while interest in prevention is growing, consistent preventive behaviors remain insufficiently integrated into daily life.
Through Wellbeing 360°, Secom aims to contribute to this change through education, trusted information, and direct dialogue with specialists. From Nutrition and Detoxification to Sleep, Movement, and the Psychology of Change
The summit was moderated by Dr. Oana Trifu-Bulzan, geriatrician and lifestyle change expert, who guided the audience through an interactive exploration of prevention as a conscious, daily choice."Prevention means putting health first every single day. We're not talking about grand gestures, but about small habits — repeated often enough to transform our lives," said Dr. Oana Trifu-Bulzan.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Laura Gavrilaș, nutritionist-dietician and President of the Association of Dieticians of Romania, presented "Nutritional Balance in Modern Life: From Deficiencies to Smart Supplementation."
"We live in a nutritional reality quite different from previous generations. Today's foods can be significantly lower in nutrients due to soil degradation, pre-maturity harvesting, extended transport, and excessive processing. In our own laboratory analyses, we observed that a bell pepper — considered an excellent source of vitamin C — contained up to 90% less vitamin C than the values listed in composition tables. In this context, healthy eating remains the foundation, but supplementation should no longer be seen as a luxury — it's a form of adaptation to the environment we live in today. My essential kit for the modern individual would include vitamin D, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, and probiotics. When chosen intelligently, based on evidence and personalized to individual needs, supplements can play an important role in supporting a balanced lifestyle," said Dr. Laura Gavrilaș.
Another message well received by the audience was the principle of dietary flexibility, explained through the 85%-15% rule: if 85% of choices are balanced, 15% can be reserved for pleasure, taste, social context, and emotion. Dr. Gavrilaș emphasized that balance also means embracing, without guilt, the foods that carry memory, connection, and joy.
Prof. Dr. Radu Țincu, primary care physician in intensive care and toxicology expert, presented "Detox 2.0: The Science Behind Detoxification in the Modern World."
"Our bodies today face a level of exposure to toxic factors far greater than in the past. We're talking about pollutants, heavy metals, pesticides, microplastics, and persistent chemical substances that find their way into the air, water, soil, and food. In this context, detoxification should not be viewed as an occasional intervention or a miraculous solution, but as part of a daily lifestyle: reducing harmful exposures, supporting the liver, the microbiome, and the body's natural elimination mechanisms, as well as ensuring an adequate intake of necessary nutrients. Probiotics, for example, can contribute to a healthy microbiome, which is important for the gut barrier and for reducing the body's toxic burden," stated Prof. Dr. Radu Țincu.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihaela Oros, primary care pediatrician and sleep medicine specialist, explained the role of sleep in the body's regeneration, immune balance, memory consolidation, and nervous system function.
"Sleep must be considered within the full 24-hour cycle. It's not only about how many hours we sleep, but also when we sleep, how regular our schedule is, and how well we align with our circadian rhythm. Sleep is not a passive state: during it, the body regenerates, the brain processes, and the immune system is supported," emphasized Dr. Oros.
Anca Bucur, seven-time Miss Fitness Universe and fitness coach, brought the energy of movement to the room through a practical revitalization session and spoke about movement as one of the most accessible forms of prevention.
"Our bodies are made to move, and movement doesn't only mean a gym membership or complicated workouts. In fact, the best workout is the one you do consistently. That's why I love the 10-10-10 rule: 10 minutes of active movement in the morning for energy, 10 minutes of more intensive activity during the day, and 10 minutes of stretching in the evening for relaxation. It's not perfection that makes the difference — it's consistency," said Anca Bucur.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Claudia Felicia Pop, primary care family physician, presented "Prevention in Romania: Between Health Perception and Medical Reality," addressing the accessibility of prevention, the importance of timely check-ups, and the role of the family physician in maintaining health.
"Prevention is far more accessible than we think. Many of the things that matter most for our health are within reach: walking, sleep, hydration, simple food choices, stress management, and timely check-ups. Disease, on the other hand, is costly — not only financially, but also in time, energy, emotional resources, and quality of life. That is why prevention is not a cost, but an investment in years lived better. And the family physician can be one of the most valuable resources in this process — not merely for prescriptions or administrative paperwork, but because they know your history, your family, your risk factors, and can guide you in a personalized way," stated Dr. Claudia Felicia Pop.
Psychol. Dr. Raluca Anton, relational psychotherapist, closed the series of presentations with a practical perspective on building sustainable routines.
"Our minds do not efficiently process negation and do not respond well to formulas like 'starting Monday, I'll stop doing this.' Sustainable change begins with the gradual addition of new behaviors, through small steps and repetition. To build good routines, it's important to understand what need a behavior fulfills and to put in place alternatives that support us over the long term. Real change is not based on prohibitions or guilt — and it doesn't happen in isolation, but with support and healthy relationships," said Psychol. Dr. Raluca Anton.
Food Supplements as Part of a Responsible Health StrategyIn the second part of the event, Claudia Știubea, Area Medical Manager at Secom Healthcare, addressed the criteria for choosing food supplements and their complementary role in supporting the pillars of a balanced lifestyle.
"A well-chosen food supplement starts with a correctly read label: clear active ingredients, forms with good bioavailability, relevant concentrations, and a recommendation adapted to the real need. Supplements do not replace a healthy lifestyle — they can support it when used in a personalized way," emphasized Claudia Știubea.
During her presentation, she provided examples from the Secom and Good Routine portfolios across areas such as energy, sleep, joint mobility, emotional balance, digestive health, liver function, and longevity, underscoring the importance of informed and personalized choices. From Information to Action
In addition to the expert presentations, participants had access to interactive activations dedicated to the pillars of health: nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, healthy relationships, and toxin avoidance. These included the "Wellbeing Checklist"— a brief self-assessment tool for personal routines — a "The Modern Person's Healthy Plate" workshop, movement challenges, relaxation zones, and personalized routine recommendations. The event closed with a symbolic moment of reflection, in which participants were invited to write a personal health commitment on a card. The exercise marked the transition from information to action and reinforced the summit's central message: prevention begins with small, conscious choices, made every day. Through this new edition of Wellbeing 360° — Transforming Prevention into a Lifestyle — Secom Healthcare continues its mission to contribute to raising the level of health education in Romania and to support the public in adopting healthy, sustainable habits adapted to modern life.About Secom® Healthcare Group
